Eligibility Criteria
  • Age Limit: 18 to 45 years as on January 1, 2013.
  • Education Qualification: The candidates should posses at least a 2nd class Graduation degree (min 55% marks) from a recognized university or 10+2 with at least 45% marks or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
  • He or She should be well-versed with shorthand typing with a speed of at least 80 wpm (words per minute) in English + 60 wpm in Hindi (if applying for the Steno / Typist post).
  • If applying for the post of Programming Assistant, he/she should be a graduate in any stream with PGDCA/BCA from a reputed/recognized university.

IBPS Clerk Common Exam 2013 Application - Graduates Only

IBPS Exam for Clerks 2013Following the PO results, IBPS has released one of the most awaited notice i.e., IBPS Clerk Common Exam 2013 which is meant only for the graduates. It is going to conduct the 3rd common written exam (CWE) for clerk jobs in all Government owned banks in India.


Almost 19 public banks are participating in this hunt but IBPS also mentioned that the candidates who cleared this exam are also eligible for any other financial institution that require IBPS clerk CWE 2013 qualifiers.

Applications are invited from August 19 till September 7, 2013

The written test for IBPS Clerks will be conducted in the month of December and it will be an online test. The allotments of the posts will be completed by April 2014.

Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerks CWE 2013

  • This is an online written test and so there will be no OMR sheets and you’ll have to click on the correct answer to the questions.
  • All the candidates shall have to appear for the common interviews which are based on the IBPS score as well as the interview.
  • Only the candidates with degree are eligible for clerical positions and students who’re either in the college or having backlogs are not allowed to register.
  • Age should be minimum 20 and maximum 28 years as on Aug 1, 2013. There is a consideration of reservation candidates as well: +5 years for SC/ST and +3 years for OBC.
  • Should pass in degree (any disciple is OK) from a recognized university (before Aug 8, 2013)
  • He should be able to read, write and speak in the local language of the state where he applied.
  • Basic computer knowledge is compulsory. A certificate from either an institute or from the college where you studied need to be shown.

IBPS Clerk Exam 2013 Selection Process

The online test will be held in the December at different centers across India. The test will contain 200 objective type questions and for each wrongly answered question, 0.25 would be deducted (negative marking).

Topics include – Reasoning, English, Numerical ability, computer knowledge and General awareness.

Once IBPS release the results, Banks will select the candidates based on the results statewide and category wise and will intimate the applicants about the further process (interview).

How to Register for IBPS Clerks Exam 2013?

You can apply for the clerical examination by IBPS in two ways.
  1. Online from August 19 to September 7 (OR)
  2. Register your application online and take a print out of the challan. Now visit any branches of Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, IOB, PNB, United Bank of India and deposit the amount into the given account number before September 12, 2013. After 2 days from the date of offline payment, IBPS will send you a confirmation message through Email or SMS.
